“My life seemed to have come to an end when my business crashed and I had to take loan to run my house. I took up part time teaching and worked hard to revive my business. Teaching young children kept me sane and happy and provided a small income. Meanwhile I worked hard at my business and turned it around in one year.”

Okay so you were not promoted this year and position you were eyeing was given to someone who does not deserve it. Is this the end of the world? No of course it is not the end. There are still hundred of companies that will hire you for your skills or if you don’t want to change find something else in life that addresses your creativity needs.
Finding alternatives in life means doing something different from what you have always done that gives you emotional fulfillment and keeps your days filled week after week. If you are going through a break- up, join a club you never explored before and start doing something you never had time to do before.
If meeting new people is not what you are looking for, you can join a library or take up a hobby. Soaking a paint brush in bright red paint and creating a red rose on a bright canvas will definitely lift your mood and make you look at life differently.
Doing the same things again and again will lead you to the same old place and you will never get out of the mess you so badly want to. Fill your time with something new, and don’t repeat the old stuff if you really want to change your life.
If going to place A gives you unhappiness go to place B or C. If your friend ditched you keep a pet dog who will follow you everywhere and nourish your soul with his loyalty. If you look around you will definitely find something new to do that will help you forget your past and bring freshness to your life.
